Aristocrat

Description

Life is seldom fair. Some people are born with more things than others; instead of working their way to the top, some start there. This is the Aristocrat. A person who begins at the top of the proverbial food chain, given more advantages than others in several categories. But yet, the Aristocrat hasn't experienced true, raw life like many others have. And, death on the battlefield pays no attention to social class. Man Beasts due to their isolationist nature are never Aristocrats.

If Aristocrat is chosen for the 3rd class, then it reflects a character who has had training in such things, or is lesser nobility, or has lived with them for a while, and in some cases an Aristocrat whom has fallen from grace. (example: Personal servants, squires, etc.).

It is generally frowned upon to claim descendancy from a royal family, so don't.

Abilities

Pull Strings: Aristocrats are not without their connections. They have servants, friends, familly, friends of friends, friends of familly, friends of servants and any combination of friends, familly, and servants one can imagin, creating a vast support network they can call upon to get out of tough situations.

Family Wealth: Simply put, you start with much more gold then anyone else. 200, to be precise. You may get more money as you complete more quests. Money's grand, isn't it? On top of that, if an Aristocrat ever depletes his funds completely, writing a letter to your family will gain you 15g given enough time.

Duck Out/Shift Blame/Bribe: Some of the more cowardly aristocrats are easily capable of manipulating someone else of their party into getting into more trouble, allowing the Aristocrat to get off scot-free. This may even apply in battles. Of course, it's also a good way of making more enemies. Aristocrats are also very capable of bribing people to achieve certain ends- and they do it well. Unfortunately, this does NOT work against monsters.

Qualities

Charisma: Being noble-born or bred means you are trained with a certain amount of charisma and social graces. This is useful for times when you have to be more diplomatic, want to seduce someone, want to avoid a fight, or even lead a group of people.

General Knowledge: Aristocrats have good education, even their servants. Thusly, an aristocrat is usually more knowledgeable about everything then anyone else... but that's general. For instance, an Alchemist will know much more about chemistry than an Aristocrat, but an Aristocrat will know much more about biology then an Alchemist.

Combat Mastery: Aristocrats are trained at birth to use any kind of weapon at any time, even the more plebian ones. Thusly, aristocrats are generally more refined at using their chosen combat technique. This can "round out" any other skill you have. This also may apply to magic- aristocrats will just be more skilled. This can take your skill in any combat technique to the perfection level. Unfortunately, this MUST be paired with a combat class in order for this quality to be put into use. This is cut in half if Aristocrat is used as sub-class 3. Family Name: The family name can be more powerful a weapon then any sword. A true aristocrat can call upon outside help on some occasions, or use the family name to deter anyone intent on threatening them. The possibilities are endless. However, not everyone will care about your family name... and monsters certainly won't. Use wisely.

Silver Spoon: Unfortunately, aristocrats aren't used to getting hit, either. An aristocrat usually depends on picking and choosing fights to work for their advantage. Thusly, they can't stand as much pain as other classes, nor are their stomachs as strong. They're a bit less resistant to diseases and such as well. Fortunately, other class attributes may cancel this out. This is cut in half if Aristocrat is used as sub-class 3.
