Merchant

For every hero that ventures forth in the world, there are three merchants directly responsible for his success. Adventurers depend on merchants, and it is through them that legends are forged. However, very few merchants that can be considered true masters of their trade. The true master merchants don't stay behind their cart and haggle over pieces of cheese; they go forth into the world and actively seek out bigger and better things to sell. Money is usually their God, and the true Merchant is willing to brave any danger in their endless quest.

Abillities
Haggle:
"It takes one to know one!" Merchants usually love their jobs, and love a good haggling even more. They are highly skilled in this art, and can usually find themselves buying items cheaper than normal consumers. This ability improves as the Merchant gains experience. A warning, however- there is no such thing as a free lunch.

Item Backpack:
Merchants need to sell something, don't they? A Merchant starts with 75g worth of materials, and it's their choice as to what they've got. All Merchants should use the pricing list from the Veros General Store when determining what they start with in their backpack.

Item Immunity:
There are powerful magical items in the world that will not accept just any owner. Many a man has stumbled across cursed weaponry that has killed them within hours; just as many evil men have found their attempts to take a holy item fruitless. A skilled Merchant is immune to these restrictions, and can pick up any item without fear of the consequences. Using the item is another matter. After the Merchant has completed three quests, they are capable of also using any item they find with some resistance to the consequences. This ability improves every three quests completed afterwards.

Qualities:

Item Lore:
Competent Merchants are capable of not only recognizing what any object is, but also understanding a good amount of history behind the item. The more legendary the item, the more the Merchant will know about it. This quality is a mix of intuition, innate latent magic, and general knowledge.

Item Packing:
A competent Merchant can easily pack almost anything efficiently enough that they can move it around without fuss. They have to, given the amount of items they usually have to sell.

Navigation:
Much like the Agent's Pathsmanship, the Merchant can find their way around easily, except with a catch. They're only really good at remembering the ways to places they've been before, or to places that have a sizeable human population.
